Windows Side Bar Issue - Please Help

I have a problem with the windows side bar. The system is telling me I cannot use the side bar, it is being managed by the administrator. Mine is the only account and also set up as the administrator. Please help with this!!!

Im running Vista Home Premium.

I had that problem as well after connecting the laptop to my work network. I thought it was some sort of AD policy that our admins had applied to my laptop and had their techies spend ages trying to figure it out.

In the end I found the post by Thalamus about the 'turnoffsidebar' registry entry and all is working fine again. Thanks Thalamus, you saved the day
