Hardware: VGN-FZ21Z (Vanilla)

Hi all,
I hope someone can please help me with my problem.
For a while my Vista installation had been playing up, so I thought to restart and make a fresh install.
Beetween updates and upgrades I waited almost 4 hours for it to complete. Everything went smoothly, shutdown the
computer and that was it until the next day. Power the computer up and got a message: Insert recovery media or
restore your computer(or something to those lines). I thought it was strange but having the recovery discs I
inserted the first one to see what was the problem. I tried system restore to no avail, the only choice I had left
was to reinstall again. Loaded the Sony recovery applet and I got a message to remove the dvd and the installtion
would start from the hard drive. Did that and nothing happened, reinserted the dvd and this time I choose to
reinstall from it, but then I had a message saying to confirm my computer model number*. I tried several times F10
but didn't work. Been in possession of a Vista installation disc I reinstalled from that. Went into disc management
and the recovery partition was still there reported as healthy with capacity of 10.39 and free space as 10.39 as
well!!!! Anyway I tought that wasn't a big issue, and I would have to install the drivers manually. I have
downloaded all the drivers from Sony and compared with the ones on the recovery dvd, they seem the same. What I
have now is half working keyboard(AV and volume) all the other Fn key don't work. No drivers for SD card and Sony
stick, no bluetooth on\off in wireless device switch. By reading the forum I was able to unpack the application
dvd, I have located the WindvdBD program but I cannot see the program for motion eye.

So to summarise what I need working is:
all the Fn keys on the Keyboard, Card slots, on\off bluetooth.
Or, as the machine is still under warranty, shall I send it back to Sony for recloning of the drive?
I would also ask to anyone if they could give me a copy of the DVD recovery1 so I can eliminate a fault with my
disc or explain how to restore the recovery partion if it could be done.
Thank you.

*I have read in a post that this could be due to a corrupted bios, I checked mine and it displays:
Bios revision: R1120j7
Model: VGN-FZ21z
Serial: ********-*******
UUID: ********-****-****-****-************
There is no service tag, but fortunately I had it written down as an eight digit code.
