help, laptop won't charge

my new laptop won't charge up, i recently brought it, i've checked the plug-it's working but my laptop won't charge up the adapter has a green light but i don't know if that's not working or the laptop battery isn't working. any help would be much appreciated!!

Is you battery securely locked in place.?

If so simple way to check if this is a battery or possible hardware problem is to take your Vaio to a local stockist and ask if you can try another similar battery in your Vaio..

ok i've taken the battery out and put it in but still no luck, i haven't had a chance to take it to the nearest shop but it seems like quite a lot of hassel as i'm at uni atm and i need it, i'm currently using my friends laptop

would you suggest that i call them? if so does anyone know there number?

Yes I would, however Sony support will probably suggest you run the Vaio recovery utility, if so be sure to back up important data..

hey sonywatford i have the same proble and if you taka off the battery for 10 min while the computer is working but first put the plub in and after 1o min insert the battery back from where you taked it and than restart the computer and when boots up open the mobility center to check if that works for you.
I does work for me And now the battery is full charge .
