Problem with screen in VGN-FE21S

Hi, I have problem with my screen in my vaio. From some time when i power on laptop screen is purple/pink at starup and the same its happening when I switch off screen/power saver screen is purple for about 10 s and after that its getting back to normal color. Anyone Know what is happening with this??

try booting into safe mode do you still have the same problem.?

But I don't think that safe mode will help, becouse I have also purple screen when I power on laptop, whet Vaio logo shows on the screen. I've tryed and it's the same in safe mode.

Ahh I thought your screen was pink/purple when starting windows..

I think your problem could be hardware related, possibly the screen cable could be causing the fault..

I suggest you either contact Sony Vaio support, you can do this either by phone or via e-Support, use the following link to find the contact details: Sony Vaio Support

Or

See if a local repairer in your area can give you an quote for repair, then depending on the cost decide whether you can live with pink start-up and shutdown screens..

Try connecting your Vaio to an external monitor, do you still have the same problem.?

On external monitor is OK so I think I will order new screen. I supose that Sony won't help me with that and I'm able to replace this sceen by myself.

The problem could be caused by a loose cable, it may be worth checking this before parting with any money..

OK its like that now:

When laptop is ON screen is not working at all now but if I unlug cable A and plug it back in screen is working perfect for about 2-3sec and you can hear buzzing from B. I thing that it might be faulty or cable A, or this green peace where cable A is pluged in(don't know what is name of it) or faulty screen.

Unfortunately without having your Vaio to hand I don't think I can help diagnose your problem any further..

You'll have to try and identify the cause or if you get stuck maybe take your Vaio to a local repairer..
