I cannot get my VGN-AR31S to work with my I Pod Classic. On dowloading the software, the DVD drive and Windows multimedia stop working.Can only get them back by using "System Restore"Any ideas?David

Did you create the recovery discs?I think you should do a format. In addition trust your guide-book to find information about how to reinstall the drivers which you have lost...

Hi,

Yes recovered everything and VAIO working OK.

Is there a conflict with the Apple software and my VAIO and / or VIST.
My previous VAIO PCG-GRT896HP working under XP was fine.

Yes, tried I Tunes 8.

Are there any changes that I should make to the default setting?

Not that I'm aware of..

The only Vaio AR31S update that I can recall mentioning iTunes is the SATA Driver Update 7.5.0.1017 but that does not match your current problems..

The SATA Driver Update update resolves the following issue:
- Degraded RAID volumes when playing or transcoding video files in Apple iTunes and QuickTime software.

Are you downloading iTunes direct from Apples site.?
