Loose key on new SR

I just bought a new vaio SR29, to my disappointment the left arrow key is very wiggly and has fallen off twice without any greater provocation. The problem seems to be that the small bracets on each side of the rubbery part of the button (under the key) doesn't hold down the key enough. Could I do anything to fix this myself or should I send it on repairs before I've even gotten to know the laptop?
