Battery problems??!!

Hi there.
I have a Sony vaio vgn/c1s notebook. I bought it more than a year ago, it worked fine till now, but yesterday I saw that the battery doesn't show up in the os. I formated it, tried many things but it's not working. the battery worked fine till yesterday. Can somebody help me ???

Hi I have a Sony AR3!S and have had it for over a year and having identical problems as you.

Not sure why? How long does a battery last?

Me too. My husband reckons it's because i left it on standby/sleep mode alot and used it alot on A/C? But he's a Luddite. My system's a couple of years old, Sony want me to buy a new battery at nigh on £160.00. Pah! Unimpressed.

welcome to Club VAIO..

I suspect the batteries need replacing..

A simple way to check if this is a battery or possible hardware problem is to take your Vaio to a local stockist and ask if you can try another battery in your Vaio..
