topic C & D drive transfer in PCs & Accessories

The C drive on my VGN AR21S has only 5% capacity left but D drive is unused. This means that I can't defrag the C drive properly. I am also experiencing documents opening slowly and programs not opening at all without rebooting. Can I transfer my music and photos which take up a lot of space onto the D drive ? Can I drag & drop using Explore or is there a better way. Will music that I add be automatically added to D drive ? Any help or advice would be appreciated
