Can you please advice on my problem?

Hi,

I have a VGN-Z series laptop & been very happy with it

However, the STAMINA/SPEED switch as now not working to switch over when using the laptop.

If I use the switch while working nothing happens. Ie. say its in SPEED setting & I slide over to STAMINA (or vise verser) the led on SPEED remains on, despite switch being moved & nothing happen.

If I then Log Off or Laptop goes into standby, when it resumes, it then displays dialog and implements the change as per switch position.

Also, if I use use windows shortcut to lock laptop Ctrl # * & L - then log straight back on - it will change the state as per the switch.

The ONLY recent changes to my laptop are:
1/ from the Sony support site, Sony Utilities DLL Update
2/ Update to Vista SP2

I would welcome your advice to fixing this,

Ps, I did not realise at time but seems S1, S2 & dedicated CD Eject button are not working. Ive tried a re-install of Via Contol Panel, shared Library & Utilities. However I would welcome knowing how to fix this ?

Many Thanks,
Trevor.
