motion eye not working

Hi after pressing the f11 and restoring my VGN-fj1s TO ITS FACTORY STATE(I BOUGHT THIS SECOND HAND)every thing is super except no sign of the motion eye what so ever.Nothing to suggest in device manager that i even have one ..I am running on xp home ..Any ideas thanks

Hi cathylaid and welcome.

Have a look in all sections of Device Manager for USB Camera or a USB Device with a yellow warning triangle next to it to show the driver is not installed correctly.

If the camera does not show anywhere at all in Device Manager then you will probably have a hardware problem (Broken camera or more likely a disconnected wire).

If you find the ununstalled device then you will need to manually install the camera driver. In Device Manager, right-click on the Unknown Camera Device and choose 'Update Driver'. Choose 'No, not this time' -> 'Install from List or Specific Location' -> 'Don't Search, I will choose a driver to install' -> 'Have Disc' and browse to C:\Drivers\Camera\
