Hi,
After 2 trouble free years I have encountered a problem with my laptop. The screen flickered then went black suddenly the only way I can use it now is to plug it into a TV ( So its maybe not my video card at fault? ) Has anyone any ideas what the problem might be?
Thanks in Advance.

Hi Brittlejester,

I suspect your problem could possibly be either a faulty Inverter, backlight bulb or cabling problem..

Unfortunately it may be cheaper to purchase a replacement laptop as this could prove an expensive repair I suggest you either contact Sony Vaio support, use the following link to find the contact details: Sony Vaio Support

Or

See if a local repairer in your area can give you an quote for repair, then depending on the cost decide whether you wish to proceed with the repair..
