I have a ony vaio vgn-ar41l witch I have done a clean install. I have two problems though
1. I have an unknown device in device manager
2. my webcam is not working even though I have put the driver dowloaded from the site in, when I install the driver it says Rioch driver installed but I still have no camera.

I have been trying to install it all day and I am pulling my hair out, any help would be appreiciated

Hi blackmail1971 and welcome to Club Vaio.

1. Is it showing as a Mass Storage device that is not installed? If so it will probably be the Memorystick driver which you will find inthe Original Drivers download in \\AR4_Drivers\Memory_Card

2. Is the camera showing in Device Manager -> Imaging Devices as VGP-VCC6?
Have you installed the Vaio Camera Utility?
Have you installed the Vaio Camera Capture Utility?

that problem sorted by installing SFEP driver

2. Is the camera showing in Device Manager -> Imaging Devices as VGP-VCC6?

yes but I cannot find the the program

Have you installed the Vaio Camera Capture Utility?
yes but it says no input when i start it up
