    <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hi Clever People,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;My new VAIO laptop-&amp;nbsp; VPCE3SOE - came with pre-installed s/ware but none of it works - so far !&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;M/S Office starter pack - wont start !&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;AdobeReader - gives run time errors !&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Windows 7 came pre-installed but having used 2000 Professional for donkeys years - I can't transfer files from old machine easily..........any tips please ?.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Adobe Reader - Run time errors - when I check compatibility I'm told I'm using Windows XP and not Windows 7 ! Do you need a Windows Office product for this to work? Is it possible that Adobe Reader could have been installed on machine specifying XP instead of 7 ?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Any info you can give an old user to progress my education with my new Sony laptop would be much appreciated.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;My old machine came with everything on it in the good old days - so am floundering while bringing myself into the current century !&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Message was edited by: Contrary&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
