Forgotten Password

Hi my daughter has forgotten her password on windows Vista, she is the main administrator and even in safe mode she cannot set a new password. Any help would be greatly appreciated before I have to telephone Sony and pay a charge for themto reset password.

I have not tried this myself, so can't comment on it's effectiveness, but reading around it appears that Trinity Rescue Kit may help..

Also the ultimate boot disk will crack a password. just do a search on google you will find several versions.

I would advise people to use the password reset creator tools that come with Vista, it is advisable to create this disk and keep it in case you forget your password, it will reset your password, i don't think it will work on any other pc/laptop other than the one use to create it. hope this helps
