Vaio Laptop model VGN-AW41XH/Q screen problem

Hi everyone,

I have a problem with a Vaio Laptop model VGN-AW41XH/Q. After about six months after purchase I occasionally started getting a green tint to my overall screen, this was very intermittent and contacted Sony (after a lot of hassle) but as I explained that problem could not be easily repeated they declined offer any solution. Now the problem has become permanent and my Vaio is out of warranty.

The issue.

My screen is now very dark, to the pint of not being able to use it, it flickered after turning green then went almost black. I have plugged in an external monitor and that works fine. Has anyone else seen this problem and do they have a solution.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi michowe87,

From you description of the final problem a faulty inverter or backlight could be the cause. A call to an authorised repair center may confirm this...
