Hi

I hope someone can help me.

I have a VAIO PCV-LX2 which is running perfectly at the moment.

What I was hoping to do was disconnect the monitor and connect the base unit directly to my new TV/Monitor.

However, the base unit seems to have a unique connector socket.

Is there a way of doing this?

Thanks.

Ah - now I can see that you have a DFP connector. This stands for Digital Flat Panel connector which really did not catch on!

You can get an adapter which will convert your DFP output to a DVI-D connection which will plug into most monitors. If you want to then connect to a TV, you will probably need a DVI-D to HDMI cable.

http://www.lindy.co.uk/dfp-to-dvi-digital-adapter-cable-mdr20-m-dvi-d-f-0-2m/41221.html
