VGC-LV2SJ all in one desktop will not play pre-recorded Blu Ray Discs. Does anyone know if it should?

According to the Specifications here - yes it should Read and Write BD Discs: -

Have you installed all the Vaio Updates from here: -

I see there is a WinDVD BD update there dated 5th April 2011?

The 5th April 2011 update was installed automatically although some of the earlier WinDVD BD updates failed to install. I don't know if this would affect this. In the autoplay section in the Control Panel there is no option listed for playing Blu Ray Discs.

I have finally got it to play Blu Ray Discs. When I purchased the PC it had Windows Vista installed. This was upgraded to Windows 7 with a disc supplied by Sony when it became available and it looks as if this upgrade did not install the player. I have just uninstalled Windows 7 and reinstalled Vista and the Corel WinDVD BD player has reappeared. Looks like I will have to stick with Vista now.
