sony vaio fx103/k wont boot.

when i turn the laptop on all i get is a series of beeps. these are:
1 beep
3 beeps
3 beeps
1 beep

I have searched the internet and get conflicting articles. I was wondering if anyone had these problems before?

Welcome to the forum,

I'm not sure on your beep codes, however have you connected or installed anything new to your Vaio, if so try removing it.

thanks for that. but i have just received the laptop in the post and havent done anything to it all that i know is when i go to turn it on this is all i get. i didn't know if i had a bad batch of ram or if my mobo is dead.

any help is grately appreciated.:smileyconfused:

1-3-3-1 beep code is '28 Autosize DRAM', which usually indicates bad or incompatible memory. I suggest that you return the notebook to your supplier immediately.
