Hi,

I have a question (actually a few questions) regarding the built-in GPS module of some cameras:

1) when videos are copied, is the GPS-info (provided it was added to the recording) also copied?

2) is the GPS info accessable for other software?

3) does the GPS info that is stored also include time?

4) at what moment id the GPS info logged? (e.g. always at the start of a recording, some-time during the recording, etc)

To provide some context to these questions:

I want to use 2 camcorders to record te same object from 2 sides. the recordings are started manually. I want to play both recordings side-by-side in a custom software package. in order to get them synched I want to use the GPS-timestamp.

I've tried sony helpdesk, manuals and browsing the web, but I cannot find an answer to these questions.

thanks for helping out.

MrMeMe
