Sony Xperia M2 does not work with BeatsX

The phone successfully connects to my BeatsX through bluetooth. However, even if i increase the bluetooth audio, no audio comes out. The only sound that comes out is when the BeatsX connect to a device. Nothing works, I have tried several troubleshooting steps and nothing works. There is a Beats app but it is not compatible with Android 5.1.1 which is the latest version for the M2 (model number D2303). Any suggestions?

I don't know much about Beats headphones, but you might need the app to make some headphones work properly. I have Sony headphones and it won't work on some Android devices until you install its app.
