I also notice that. Battery performance has decreased and speakers also sounds lower than before, this update is the worst ever

Just updated! my speakers also sound much quieter now after the update sadly .

REAL problem is I can not recieve MMS now, i can send them no problem but if i recieve a picture the messenger app crashes instantly as soon i open the conversation and i can no longer access that conversation now that it has recieved a picture message so i have to delete the thred inorder to contact that person again... ive reset permissions and app settings for both default andriod messenger and the sony album app, cleared the app cache on both, and still does it. Ive switched to using google hangouts for sms but i dont like that work around i miss the default app actually any one have any ideas ?

Yeah my neighbours TV is louder than my phone at max. volume. What have they done to the speaker volume?
Also, I've noticed video apps, ONCE THEY WORK, then don't stop running even if you kill the app. Only when you clear ram with another app, the apps finally cut off.
Other issues, also video, when you what's something and just switch to WhatsApp or SMS or whatever and then switch back, the video starts from.the very beginning instead of where you last watched. Anybody else having these issues?
Headphone jack doesn't work at all anymore. Therefore my batterylife has improved very much!

Sometimes when I charge the phone, the phone show it charging even with the led, but it is actually still discharging. I have to disconnect the USB and connect again, sometimes 3-4 times until it actually starts charging.

WiFi is next issue.
Showing me full bars, then disconnecting, reconnecting but nothing at all happens. This happens ongoing. Even after a software repair.

I'm on the .376 version

Got the same problem. Get some WIFI-time after restart, but falls out when not in use for some minutes. My opinion is that there should be some kind of compensation from those who sending this out. I depend on my phone when travelling, i have had some poor respond to people that trust me in bussiness because of this, and make me less professional...

I am having problems with my Z5 compact as well. The battery life is very poor. If it is just in my pocket, it gets red hot and it's not clear what app it is running that is butning through the battery. Switching it off and on again does NOT seem to help. For example, if the phone is flat and I charge it and look at the burn rate, it's about 1% every few minutes....

Since I updated my z5 to Android 7 the built in Mail app crashes. I already tried to remove cache and used memory but no success.

If you all recently upgraded from Android 6 to Android 7, try to reboot your phone in safe mode and check if the issue persist, if the issue is still persistent and accompained by other sympthoms then... try with a Software Repair.

IF you decide to follow the Software Repair path, be sure to perform a backup first and then the software repair via XC.

i found a way to fix the volume problem, My Z5 Premium has been fixed.

If you're upgrade from Android 6.0 up to Android 7.0, pls use Xperia Companion to make a Software Repair. Before that pls make a backup for everything inside internal storage included you phone contact.

After Software Repair the volume will still the same, low volume(For Me). But after you open Audio settings and open up DSEE HX, the problem fixed.

Software repair did not help me, and you mentioned DSEE HX helped increase volume, but the amplification id the DSEE HX format is only for wired headphones. How did it help you, please response. Eagerly waiting for your reply.

Same here wifi stops working and Google play services doesn't open properly either since 7 update it can be a real pain in the backside

I'm having the same issue.

My wifi and bluetooth wont stay connected.

Has anyone heard if there is a fix or not? Is Sony or Andriod doing something about it?

Im off to the UK tomorrow, and I don't want thousands of $$ worth of fees because my data wont stay connected to the Wifi.....
