You can also reboot your Z2 with a RED Emergency button - Left cover near USB charging port. Press gently with a pen (no sharp needles!) and hold till phone restarts.

Hi, preordered the Z2 and picked it up Friday. Worked great first few days then yesterday when I turned it on the screen had lines on it going down and the screen got progressively lighter. Tried a reset, software repair via Xperia but no luck. Phone works fine otherwise but either it has a defective screen or software problem. Anyone else had this? I searched online and found it's the same problem some Xperia Z Ultra's had last year. Any idea if it was resolved or if anyone had this problem with their Z2?

For info, my Xperia Z2 has the same problem described here http://www.xperiablog.net/2013/08/21/some-xperia-z-ultra-owners-complaining-of-defective-screens/

Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.

Sorry to hear about your phone

It's not something i've heard of before on Z2. I recommend that you contact your dealer or your local support team for asssitance. If the display looks like that there's something wrong with your phone and it needs to be repaired or replaced.

Thanks a lot Rickard, I've notified O2 and they're organising a straight swap this week. Glad to hear nobody else has this problem.

Unfortunately I'm experiencing the same problem. The only way to get out of it is to reject the sim card to get it reboot.. I'll contact my provider too to get a replacement.
