Hi,

Just purchased the z1 compact, great phone but have one constant issue.

Downloading a PDF from my work email online.

When the download is complete and I click on the file in the TOP STATUS bar, the file opens fine with the pre-installed officesuite pro. The file is downloaded as a php.

But if I want to re-open that file later, I locate it through file commander and click the php download and it tells me that the file is unsupported.

Just wondering how to solve this issue?

Thanks.

Installed Adobe Reader, this didn't solve the issue,

BUT what did solve the issue, was a very strange workaround.

If I was to click on the link, the file would download automatically as a PHP.

But if I hold down on the link and bring up the options, and I click SAVE LINK. The file would download correctly as a PDF.

Not sure if this is an issue with Android or the email server but an easy workaround none the less.

Thanks for your help though!

Commonly, it will be OK to install the Adobe Reader. If you are interested, PDF Viewer control might be refered to you for some study.

I advise to not to refer to Adobe reader to solve the pdf reading issuse, why not try to use a pdf windows viewer to load and read pdf document? It can be installed on both windows and mac systmes to quikcly load and view pdf files.

Adobe Reader is in common the good solution for converting PDF, but in this case, it might be not enough.
