Cannot send SMS to one specific contact!!!

My friend cannot send me SMS messages. It keeps giving an error, saying "Cannot send". Meanwhile, she's receiving everything Ive sent her. I got her to delete all our messages & delete the contact then reenter the contact. It fixed the problem for about 10 messages, then started again. There was a several hour gap before we realised it wasnt working again. She's got some Xperia phone, she just recently bought it. Gonna try and find the exact model. What else can I try?

She's also been sending and receiving SMS messages to everyone else perfectly.

Is it only SMS or MMS? if the message its longer than 160 characters it will be converted to an MMS

I didnt pay attention to how big the messages were. I'm not sure what MMS is... She's just TXT messaging and the stupid phone will not send me any.

I read up on MMS and SMS. Didnt realise there was a different format, seems like it's SMS for sure. MMS we actually havent tried it.

If its an MMS then you will need a data plan, wifi won't work

I think you misunderstood the question.

She has a Xperia phone, that has a data plan and also uses SMS.

She added me to her contacts, she receives all my SMS but cannot send ANY to me.

She can SMS every other contact she has.

She deleted me as her contact & entered it again.

That fixed the problem but only for about 10 messages over the span of 1 hour.

Xperia Z model.

- Added a new contact from a recent SMS.

- After about 10 or so messages, I could not send a message to that contact.

- When I tried sending the message, it would close the app completely or say "Cannot Send" error prompt.

- I erased all the messages from that contact & deleted the contact.

- I added the contact once again manually.

- It worked for about 10 messages or so once again.

What else can I do?

What would stop me from sending a SMS to one particular contact.?

I can receive ALL messages from that contact and all other contacts.

If i understand you correctly your friend gets an error in her Xperia Z when she tries to send you an SMS? If there's an error in her phone then this is most likely a problem with her phone or with her operator or SIM-card. There's no setting in Xperia Z that could cause this.

I would recommend that she first makes a repair of the phones software using a computer and the USB-cable: http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/software/.

If that doesn't help i recommend that you ask her to try another SIM-card in her phone.

Alternatively, I suspect some other (Social Media) app may be syncing data, overwriting your phone number in the Contacts with some data from your (Google+?) profile?

Does she have some applications installed that may have write access to her contacts?

I have the same error....but I found out the solution

My wife is using Sony Xperia and I am using iPhone 5s.

She can sms me but I can't. I simply disabled iMessage from my iphone 5s and I am able to send sms.
