Transfer data to SD card

Hello there,

In the notifications drop-down, there is a message "Transfer data to SD card" the message continuing with "Internal storage is 85% full. Tap to move application and data to SD card"

So I tapped as per the instruction about 13 hours ago and the transfer began but no more than 1% has been moved?

At the time the phone was charging and above 50% battery capacity.

Will the transfer complete, or is there something that I should do or have done differently?

The SD card has 12GB of space and the Internal storage has just under 2GB of space so it should have completed by now?

That's rather odd, you can move the files manually, you could use a file commander and transfer the media files

also, settings > storage > cache > clear storage > do this few times

Hi @uliwooly,

There are no media files to transfer as there is a 64GB microSD card inside, the default storage for the camera and music is there. The not moving files are 38 apps about 1.6GB, and after clearing the cache as you suggested the amount transferring rose to 3% but still no status, bar change seems to have stalled again. Will let it run for more than an hour and post here if there is any success to report.

Hi @SydneySideSteve, I'm sorry to hear about this.

Are you able to move all your apps to your SD card if you go into Settings > Apps > name of the app > "Move to SD card"?

I understand that this is very time consuming when it's 38 applications and I'm sorry for the inconvenience.
