    <description>&lt;P&gt;the adaptive brightness does work more agressively I think due to the new sensors on the front,, unfortunately your options are just to disable the adative brightness and adjust it manually.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hello Community&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;First i use the Z3 compact and the Auto Brightness is very good, never have problems with that.&lt;BR /&gt;Now i &amp;nbsp;use the new xcompact and i see the Auto Brightness ist often to&amp;nbsp;weakly adjusted. Sometimes i adjustes higher and it goes back and its weak.&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Sony, is it possible to regulare it on the new Firmware Update ?&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks for anwsering&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

We discussed about this issue already in this thread:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;A href="http://talk.sonymobile.com/t5/Xperia-X-Compact/Auto-brightness-too-low-in-dark/m-p/1160558#U1160558" target="_blank"&gt;http://talk.sonymobile.com/t5/Xperia-X-Compact/Auto-brightness-too-low-in-dark/m-p/1160558#U1160558&lt;/A&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;What &lt;U&gt;may&lt;/U&gt; work is to set the brightness at 1/3 of the bar (or more) in a a dark environment. I say this because when it started not working I kept raising it, and there is a sort of "magical" level after which the issue disappears. Also it may take few tries. So after having done it, and if it starts working fine, never touch the brightness again because it starts all over.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
