https://community.sony.it/t5/xperia-archive/no-usb-connection/m-p/3476870#M533214 <P>Recently got the M4 Aqua and everything worked fine until 2 weeks ago when suddenly PC stopped detecting device connected with USB and phone doesnt even notify anymore about USB connection. I have tested stock cable on different device and its working, i have also tested different cable/different PC's and same result. I have switched USB debugging on and off, checked MTP/MSC, restarting phone after every change with no success. USB slot looks undamaged and i didnt put my phone into any potential danger like water, falling etc (that phone was basically laying around the whole time, i was barely using it). The only apps i installed were some popular ones from playstore. And of course i have Sony PC Companion, it used to work but now it doesnt. I have rooted the phone right after i got it to be able to partition my microSD to get rid of lack of space issue for apps; i didnt do anything system related after that and USB worked fine until it suddently stopped working.
