Mine is not a Z3, it is an E4G but it is the same problem. The power button protrudes significanly from the side of the phone and it is always being pushed when the phone is in my pocket. I have never had this problem with any other phone, so it has to be the design of the button itself. The phone has a 7-digit PIN, else the problem would be a lot worse. As it is, it keeps trying to dial emergency numbers. One day it will succeed in bringing me an ambulance. I installed an app that prevents the screen activating by using the proximity sensor; this has helped but not eliminated the problem. And I wonder about impact on the battery since the proximity sensor is now on all the time. I can see a faint red glow from it. Surely, this is a piece of stupidity in design, by making the power button too easy to push. I am thinking of filing it down. There goes the warranty. But why should I put up with this because some idiot designer couldn't look ahead and see what problem he was going to cause.

I'm sure this must have been asked before but I've done a search and can't find any answers.

My phone power button gets bumped when it's in my pocket many times every day. I hear it tapping away. I can enable the double tap to start function which works fine.

I would also like to modify the behaviour of the power button so that pressing it does not turn the screen on. Can I modify the power button behaviour? I would like it to only be used to turn the phone off.
