Z3 water damage\screen problem???? anyone else had probs???

Hey everyone!!!

Just a quick one.... Took my z3 for the first water test today... Only had the phone a month..... Now it failed epicly..... The camera has hazed up like it's wet inside. Secondly... The phone doesn't work... Screen is just black???? I can hear it just no display.... Any ideas?!

The water proof paper thing in side by the sim\sdcard port is still yellow which sujests it's not water damaged?? So I'm stumped.... No idea what's wrong... Done the whole power and up volume... Did nothing...can feel phone turn off and turn back on but no display....

Please help guys any sujestions welcome! Or I'll post off hope they'll repair through warranty as its still in perfect condition.

Yea I did, however they've just said to send phone off and theyll sort it.... Just seeing if anyone has another idea as I'm on holiday and just have my phone no computer etc....

You could charge the phone for an hour or so then repair it with PCC

I'll be trying that when I'm back off holiday.... I'm just stumped how can say no water damage yet the camera lens looks wet inside....

If the cover/flaps weren't firmly closed then water will permeate, unless there's a manufacture issue.

They where 100% closed firm like said my little water test thing is still yellow... No red or pink when there is water damage.... Very confusing!

Have done buddy they're just getting me to send it off for repairs etc.... I'm going to take photos first to prove not water damaged....

I think the yellow thing you refer to is actually the reset tab.
I'm not sure Z3 has a visible water indicator

If you press and hold this it shuts the phone down .You will get a few vibrations whilst doing this

The yellow thing is a reset button which will shut down your device when it doesn't want to respond. Z3 has got a water indicator. Take out the nanoSIM and view your phone in the correct angle to see the top of it, there's the indecator. Now if you are sure that the covers were closed then it might be a manufacture defect and like others said contact sony.

Water damage makes the indicator go to red from it's original white colour

The little yellow thing is a reset button.Remove your sim card and look there,the sensor should be white,if it"s not it will have changed colour to a pinky reddish colour

Thanks guys, i found it, its white. But looks like the edge of the white paper it pink??? But the main bit of paper still white... So I'm not sure what Sony will say when I send off the phone tomorrow.
