If that doesn't help, try connect another headset to see if you experience the same behavior.

Hi, I have a same problem, bt it's solved now.

Do following steps,

1- clean your 3.5mm jack using cotton and just 1 or 2 drops of spirit, now again clean it with new cotton without spirit.

2- now update your smart connect sotware, and select select handst option>music on to go> on.

now, your handsfree will be surely detected.

i've found a different solution:

go to the sound settings and enable xloud enhancement, this did the trick for me.

i did this after the previous steps of clearing the data for the smart connect app and cleaning the headphone jack,
so you might wanna try this too.

I had the same problem and came to this discussion. As people suggested to clean the headphone jack.

I did and it worked.

I switched off my phone. I took ear stick and I drenched it in water and squeezed it. I removed some cotton to insert the stick easily and rotated it some times. The jack got cleaned and it was shining. I left it for sometime to dry. I rebooted the phone and checked it with earphone and it is working as it should. Whenever I plugin earphone music starts automatically and when I plugout it, music stops.

Thanks guys for the solution.
