whenever i reject a call a message gets sen t viz. im busy will call u back later., which is ending my balance.. now how to disable the "Reject Call With A Message" ???

What do you mean by "[..]gets sen t viz."? You can reject a call by just using the red button instead of the green one when you receive a call.

Hi,

I have a similar problem with my Xperia E.

I really appreciate the scratch-resistant glass, but... I assume this should allow me not to use a leather/plastic case for it. So I carry the phone in my pants' pocket, with the screen inwards, to avoid any damage (probbaly not such a good thing for my genitalia, given the SAR on Sony phones).

However, when I receive a phone call while walking, most often my leg or the inside of my pocket is touching the screen area where the "Reject with message" option is present, and it activates this option by itself, usually whitout me even knowing I got a call (and sends the text message that appears in the same place, in my case the builtin message "I'm eating, I'll call you later"; got some jokes from my friends for this, because apparently I'm always eating ).

I can't seem to find a way to disable the "reject with message" feature, nor how to control its behavior.

Any ideas how to avoid/solve my problem ?

As far as I know there is unfortunately no way to disable or remove this function actually.

I don't want to be mean, but... you know you're stating the obvious, right?

I would very much appeciate some more information, such as IF and WHEN will the disable option be available, and who is responsible for this. (Sony or Google's Android dev team ?)

I agree, I am stating the obvious. And that's because I unfortunately don't have any more information regarding this. If I had a good answer on why I'd love to tell you, but I don't have any.

I have however forwarded the feedback internally, as we do with ideas or feedback that's posted on these forums.

As most smartphone users, I hope you understand there is a small control freak inside of me, who wants to know and control everything that is going on in the background.

Not being able to remove the "reject call with message" feature is a bit frustrating, and most unexpected.

I am currently subscribed to this discussion via email, so I am looking forward to that satisfying answer for me.

I am pretty new to Xperia and the Sony view regarding app integration. If I may make a suggestion, perhaps future Android releases (approved and customized by Sony) could include some idiot's guide to Timescape apps, such as Ts Friends and Ts Feed, because in my opinion, it is a bit offhand to search the web for their description. (As the control freak that I am, I find it just plain stupid to use an app without knowing what it actually does).

Well... I am quite reluctant when it comes to giving personal information over the internet.

Could you please explain to me why do you need my phone number and the IMEI of my phone ?

If possible, please do not tell me that "it's Sony's internal policy"

I need this info to be able to verify/replicate the problem and to escalate it to concerned project.
Phone number is not really needed.

what if i dont want to send a message while rejecting a call?? if its a prank and i reject it a message gets sent and my balance goes .. please make a new feature of disabling "REPLY WITH A MESSAGE" service..

I don't understand, you can just ignore the call so that it will go to your voicemail?

my understanding on "reject call with message" was that if someone call you, you have to drag up the message options and the message will be sent, if you dont then nothing should be sent, is the Xperia E different?

How to disable that feature ?? whenever i reject a call (either by dragging red icon or pressing a power button) a message automatically gets sent to the caller even if i dont want to. how to disable REPLY WITH MESSSAGE service

now that's odd, with my Xperias you have to select the sms if you want it to be sent, it doesn't send anything automatically, if I don't answer or swipe the red bar, the call will be sent to voice mail not sms. I wonder if this is a network feature, is your phone network branded?

now I'm quite interested on this, if this is a Sony setting or if it was implemented by Vodafone India. like I said, with my other Xperias you have to select the reject with message message, it wont send anything otherwise, contact Vodafone and see what they have to say about this

those vodafone people are of no use . i went there with my network problem with play store they are sayin its because playstore doesnt support 2G so you haave to upgrade to 3G . really waiting for my sim to get 3 months old and im porting it to another service provider
