Repair gone bad.

Since jellybean update my phone is behaving really bad.So i have decided to do repair but that is the worst mistake i did so far.Now after doing repair my total data gone right from my apps, games to my contact & messages.Even Pc companion backup isn't working.What should i do? Is it the end of my sony xperia P?

Hi,

I also had same kind of issue. My phone had lot of software bugs (firmware ICS 6.1.1.B.57). I created a back up using PCC with the firmware 6.1.1.B.57 and finally authorizes delar replace my phone to new one. which has the firmware ICS 6.1.B.0.559. I wont update the ICS firmware to ICS 6.1.1.B.57 because all the previous bugs will come up with that firmware update. I could not restore the backup which I was created with firmware 6.1.1.B.57 to the current firmware 6.1.B.599.

Sony people why is this? To restore a backup do I need to have the same build number which is there when i create my backup or higher build number?

However I manage to do it with a third party free software. Fortunately I created a backup with that software as well. Otherwise I'm in a big trouble with my contacts.

Well, I would at first recommend that you try repairing using SUS and resetting the phone.. Hope it work..

What will happen by doing repair with SUS? Because my data is already gone & still my phone says that i have only 500 mb of internal storage left but my phone don't have anything.

are you certain that you don't have videos, music, etc on your phone ?

you can also do this

settings > storage > Erase everything

make sure to backup your pictures, videos, music etc

Try to Factory Reset and tick Erase internal storage

I just did factory reset & my memory issue is solved & now showing 11.26 gb free but my pc companion won't allowing me restore my old backup.

What error do you get?Or why does PCC fail to restore?

When i select my backup & than click on restore.There is no error but pc companion stops responding.

Your opinion ruin everything Fahim.Now after reinstalling pc companion it won't showing backup & restore option.If you have Pc companion on your pc please tell me the storage location of backup files given in backup & restore option.

Finally i got the solution.Problem solved.After pc companion stop responding i chose wait for the program to respond & after some time restore process started & i got my old data back.

For me it was also like this,it needed some time(windows 7) but went well.Glad you managed to restore.
