For clarity and for other Xperia Arc S users, the vesion of Android is the problem. Sony have released a later (fixed) version but many UK telecomms providers have not released the update and now dont plan to as he handset is too old to worry over.....amazing as it is still under warranty!

Sony acknowledge and fix, O2 in my case cannot help o I will terminate my contract today and they can try to take me to court.......their own in store O2 Guru "Anthony Gillert" told me he sees these issues before and he knows they have no solution. He told me that the phone I have is "not fit for purpose" and this gives me grounds to terminate the contract from my side as in legal terms, my mobile contract is "frustrated" and cannot be enforced by the other party.

THIS ISSUE ISNT CLOSED and I will reconsider whether or not to choose Sony or O2 in the future.....not a happy customer

Hi,

I have seen other posts relating to my issue with a "suspected resolved" status but for me the closed posts do not fix my issue. I really need help.

I have an Xperia Arc S (LT18i) with Android 4.0.3 (Build Number 4.1.A.0.562) which I have recently defaulted back to factory state and have an issue with LiveWare manager v3.2.7 ever since.

After restoring my Xperia Arc S back to factory defaults (due to issues updating apps with limited storage space on the handset despite all possible apps running from the MicroSD), I am having difficulty updating the Smart Connect (LiveWare Mgr) sowftware to the latest version. I previously had the latest version before the Android update but it appears that when you have the latest Android update there is no way to update the Smart Connect app.

I have rebooted back to defaults 2 or 3 times now and all I get when I update the app is: "Package file was not signed correctly. Uninstall the previous copy of the app and try again.". I cannot uninstall the app but can disable it and this doesnt help.

Please let me have some answers.

Thanks

Simon
