Can anyone confirm if the new Xperia SP has a regular notification led in the front screen, like the Xperia P, or if it only has the notificarion bar below?

the Xperia P has a regular notification LED on the top next to the front facing camera.

my bad, I was thinking of the Xperia P.

the Xperia SP does not have an extra LED notification, just the bar at the bottom

Thats too bad, i really like the phone, but i dont like this as the only notification light. I have an Xperia P, and i wouldn't buy a smartphone without a notification led.

no problem, you might want to consider the Xperia Z, it's AMAZING, or wait for the rumored Xperias one walkman oriented and another cybershot oriented, those are rumors.

htc use interesting materials on their phones but aside from that they haven't delivered a great phone, the One X was supposed to be an amazing phone and well it wasn't, the HTC One seems like a great phone on paper, we'll have to wait and see if it does deliver.

At the moment HTC One is better than Xperia Z and has less bugs. For a company like Sony the Xperia Z was plagued with sudden death which clearly shows how Sony failed with testing the software prior to official release to the public. HTC One has better camera than Xperia Z.

I'd pick the HTC One over any Sony Xperia devices anydays. Sony devices with 1GB RAM still suffer from lag, force close due to the software not being tuned properly and the awful bloatware you get, more than other manufactures.

There are good mid range devices from Sony, eg L, SP etc. However when the HTC One Mini releases it will have a serious impact on the mid-range market.

- 2GB RAM

- 16GB Interal Storage

- 1,700mah Battery

With HTC you will get support for newer Android OS guranteed whereas Sony will just make a stupid excuse saying device can't handle it.

Sony have great products but lack big time in terms of support and tweaking the software. They should employ developers from XDA forums.

The main issue is speaker on the back? Nearly all Xperia device have the speaker on the back. It's not rocket science to place this anywhere else apart from the back! You place your xperia device flat on the table or in your pocket it's hard to hear the ringtone. That's how stupid Sony developers are, don't even have a single clue how to make devices with proper placement of hardware.

2. Your basically argeeing that Sony have really good support and dish out updates faster? WRONG! Should I remind you about the situation with Xperia Sola for example so many bugs on v6.1.1.B.1.54. Then you have so many bugs in the Xperia Z.

I even posted my article containing all the bugs of Sony Xperia Sola to Sony back in December 2012. Doesn't matter how much spoon feeding goes on, you will NEVER get a update fixing these issues.

I here stand for other users who have been let down by Sony who have failed to support their customers properly. I don't love HTC, I just made a clear suggestion for the user to consider HTC or SAMSUNG becuase the support from Sony is a downhill rollercoaster ride.

Would you recommend a Sony Xperia device to someone knowing that there are major flows regarding support/update for Xperia device? I wouldn't, not unless they improve on this. Lately Sony have been the worse at providing support/updates.

lol this is amusing, you are assuming a lot of things, but it's futile to try to explain it to you, you already made up your mind. do you have the HTC one? S3? S4? iphone? etc? you can not compare them with the Xperias that you do have unless you have them yourself and you can truly see their flaws, try to be objective. one more thing minde the forum guidelines

Hey, ShayKaPow, here is SONY support forum for helping each other. I don't have interest to htc or sumsung. I believe people select sony due to they like it's unquie design, I also believe xperia's performance is competitive.

Which Apps I have to add to STAMINA-Mode when I want to get LED Notifications for

- missed calls,

- missed sms,

- missed e-mails,

- missed facebook messages,

- missed calendar alarms?
