If you want to enhance your xp p battery life root it use a custom firmware. Thats the best way to calibrate your battery even it has only 1305mah batt capacity.its not advisable but if your not contented with xp p batt do it

Hi all,

Need your help in resolving the battery issue of Xperia P. I recently went out for a one day trip and therefore I Kept my Phone in Airplane mode to keep it alive for that whole day. And it worked. If I wouldn't have done that, even with Data-traffic off, it doesnt last longer than say 5-6 hours.. Please help.:smileysad:

May I know, what is SUS?

I've repaired by phone once after updating it to .54 version. And I'm running the same version now. The Pc companion says, no update available.

And about SUS i also don't know exactly what it is. Hope my answer may solve ur problem regarding battery:smileygrin:

Yes, there is no update available after .54 version. SUS refers to Sony Update Service. Now for the main problem i.e. Battery. See man, you are not the only one who is facing this problem. All of the Xperia P users have this. 1300mAH Battery for 4'' White Magic Display with a Dual Core Processor is not a big thing. We will be getting the Jelly Bean update soon and let us hope that we will get a better battery life. There is nothing you can do but only wait for the JB update.

That is the best way to do. Try repairing your software, everytime i experience batt prob repairing always save me. Worth a try. And dont b bothered with the .75 firmware cause many of us here still use the .54 fw.

Hi prajz my friend!

Here are some tips/advice that I can give to you.
1. When charging, wait until it become 100%-full
*sometimes 100% is not 100%, check it out. Go to Settings>About Phone>Status. When you see Battery Status = Full, Battery Level = 100%, then it's fully charged.
2. Delete most of the widget on your home screen which you do not oftenly use. Especially the weather widget. After that, go to Settings> Apps>All. Find the weather widgets, click it and click the disable button. I don't know the technical reason why it saves battery, maybe it was a bug, but it really saves battery for my Xperia P. Just try that, if it doesn't work for you then revert all the things you've done.

Hope these tips will help you to improve your battery life. If you have time, can you pls posts some screenshot of your power management (you can see it on Settings>power management). Thanks!

Hi can anyone help me as well?
I recently bought Xperia P. I charged my phone to the full and checked whether the phone was full or not by going to the settings and it was. The battery didn't last for long. For example, if I charged at 12 pm, it lasted till 4 pm, with just 10 mins use of WiFi, normal texting, lowest brightness, no call, data traffic disabled and 5 mins gaming.
I don't have the weather widget abled..it's disabled. I only have the music widget, nothing else. Please help!!
