Xperia Ion 3G speed issue

I am from chennai(India)

4 days before i bought xperia ion.

Problem is 3G slow speed

My Airtel 3g speed in xperia ion is max 60kb ...!(Screen shot attached)

but Signal reception & voice call is very well,

getting full 3G signal.

Also 2g net working fine.

and I Checked with another service provider Aircel 3G and it is working very well (Speed getting 7 mb/s)

Anybody facing the same issue?Kindly help me...

(Airtel CC don't know the reason )

My oldxperia neo v 3g wrking fine with my airtel sim...!

Is it phone problem ?

Unfortunately this is almost certainly a network issue, however it would be worth trying a secondary SIM.

What are your thoughts about this forum? Let us know by doing this short survey.

Well but my xperia neo v phone getting full 3G speed with the same airtel card...!

Even My xeperia ion has the same issue. 2g works better. But using 3g @ rest of tamilNadu works nfine except in chennai.

And 3g works pretty good in my old mobile nokia e72.

After registering complaintt in customercare both chennai and rest of tamil nadu failed to work.

hopefully network, im about to try number portability. If the other network too doesnt worked means then i wont recommend this phone at all.

I love Ion solid build & design other wise definitely I will choose Galaxy S3. Price is same only.

But now i am totally fedup ..!

My Airtel connection is in CUG plan.No I can't do MNP

Finally the problem solved with new firmwire updation(6.1.E.2.68).Thanks sony for the solution.

Download , install & run sony pc companion :- http://www.sonymobile.com/in/tools/pc-companion/

Connect your phone to PC then follow the instructions.

Software update duration15 min with 4mb brodband connection.

Cool... It worked... Thanks Sony.. But my phone gets heated rapidly also battery drains completely in 1 hr if I enabled data service. Is this a new bug or my device issue?

i have tried with PCC and SUS, but it show us you already have the latest update in your phone. i am having XPERIA ION (LT28h) and its build number(6.1.E.1.20). i want to fix the 3G problem, it occuring for AIRTEL network.. 3G is working fine for Aircel. i could not find any update in the build number (6.1.E.1.68). Please anybody help me regarding this issue.

I can not find the solution for this problem, please help me regarding this firmware(6.1.E.2.68) update.i tried to connect through PCC and SUS but i can see only firmware update (6.1.E.2.23) for my mobile sony xperia LT28h. I am in position to change the network to aircel, if it is not resolved. can you please confirm me where you got this (6.1.E.2.68) update or any contact person ?

From where you bought the phone?If it is indian version,definitely you will get the updation.

This firmware only for specified countires.
