XperiaP sim cover broken

Im XperiaP owner in India. The silver covering of the micro-sim card cover has come out. Yesterday I checked in local sony service center and they told it will not be covered under warranty. They will be getting the part within a week and get it replaced for a minimal charge (around Rs.50). It broke automatically during sim replace and I haven't applied any extra force. I am fine to pay the amount in this case, but can anyone confirm if it really is not covered under warranty?

Hi Girish, Sorry to hear that,

The Cover is very delicate in this Model, They wont claim this in warranty, because, As per them It was Removed by manhandling (May be not forcely) But we should get it for cost only.

I have also faced the same situation, on the second day of my purchase this sim lid came out automatically. I immediately rushed to nearest service center in Delhi but they told me for this dont have any replacement niether withing warrenty nor without warrenty. I thought paying a upto Rs 500 as phone was looking ugly but they told me they dont get sim tray lid cover.

Now I am in bangalore and its been almost 3 months since I have bought my phone and I am using it but it doesn't look good infact it looks ugly one.

Can anyone help me and tell me if service center in Bangalore can replace it? I am ready to pay the amount...
