Hi. On my new Xperia M5 the alarm clock does not sound when the phone is switched off. Surprise! On all my previous phones (Nokia N97 the latest) I was used to switch off the phone at night and the alarm would still wake me up in the morning, asking me at the same time if I wanted the phone to be ON or OFF. A very convenient feature - which I miss on my Xperia.

@Elcapitan

That's not supported by neither android, ios, nor windows mobile. Your old pohone was a symbian 9.0 device, back in 2009. In other words, you can try a different brand of smartphone but it will be the same, it is not supported.

It is supported on Android.

My backup device (for when my M5 is dead) is a ZTE Blade X. I can turn it off and it will consistenly turn on and sound the alarm when necessary.
