A80l as centre speaker with str dn1080

Hi all

I've just received my new a80l and connected it via e-arc to my str dn1080. I was hoping to use the tv as a centre speaker but the system uses the existing AV centre speaker. There is a dedicated centre speaker port to connect a soundbar, but there are no speaker terminals on the TV to cable the AV amp directly. I have switched on the ‘use tv as centre speaker’ setting, but still no joy. Am I missing something? Any help gratefully received, thanks!

Hi,

Unfortunately, the STR-DN1080 doesn't have an S-Center Speaker output which the A80L uses.

The A80L can be used in centre speaker mode only when connected to a soundbar or an AV receiver that has S-Center Speaker output.
