My remote will not do anything on my TV. New batteries and remote working properly. No light on the TV when in standby. Tried everything nothing worked so resulted in mobile app on my mobile which works fine.

Tried all ideas on YouTube and others nothing works. Don’t really want to spend £600 on a new tv.Any help greatly appreciated.

Check that the wall socket the TV is plugged into is live when tried with another device, such as a lamp.

Check the fuse in the plug on the TV lead.

If the lead is not a captive one, check it is fully pushed home in the socket on the TV.
