Hi all,

This is on a A90J:

I just started watching the new series of Black Mirror on Netflix, noticed the picture was quite dark and so I went to turn up the brightness (to my surprise it’s was maximum brightness) and so I went to then change the picture setting to see if I’d put it into cinema mode or something… I then see that all picture options have gone except “Dolby digital bright”, “Dolby digital dark” and Vivid.

is this normal, have I missed something etc?

Any help much appreciated

Any content in HDR will set brightness and contrast to max and any Dolby vision content will let you choose only a Dolby vision image profile on any TV. This is normal and seems just strange that you bought such an expensive and high performance set without knowing or acknowledge it before

Black mirror 6 seems to be dark on Netflix on any TV, so probably an author choice or a bad encoding in the platform
