Android TV keeps scrolling up on menus and home screen, changed remote etc.

This morning I turned on my TV and found I cannot navigate anything as it automatically scrolls back to the top of th screen. If I open the inputs menu it simply scrolls up forever. I have tried a different remote (happen to have a spare) and tried my phone app remote. The same thing is happeneing. So this is not a remote control issue but something to do with the TV itself. I cannot find any other posts about this. Can anybody suggest what maybe happening and a way to resolve it? Thanks

Hi @Danrawson Just checking that you have tried a soft reboot if possible or a power reboot if not. You can perform a soft reboot by holding down the power button on the remote until it prompts you to restart. If that doesn’t work then try again but with every input removed.

Thanks for the response, I tried all of the restarting strategies, however I have now resolved the issue and feel really silly. I had not realised my sons USB game controller was plugged in and it was upside down resting on the direction pad, this is what was causing the scrolling up. I eventually tried a restart and unplugged all the devices and it was OK. I then plugged all the leads back in I had removed to find it started again, this is when I noticed the culprit.

So all is fine, after more than an hour of fiddling about trying to fix it, I have learned to check all of the plugged in devices first off now.
