KD-55X89J and Google Home/Assistant

Hello all.

All my smart devices work fine with Google Assistant and Google Home.

Google Assistant performs as it should, with no effect, or it will say TV not available, or words to that affect.

The remote turn on/off of my KD-55X89J is very spasmodic.

Sometimes it will and sometimes it won't.

The TV settings are set for remote wakeup, both external and internal networks.

The TV has been reset to factory settings and restarted several times with no lasting effect.

Router has been reset and restarted several times as well and is working well with all other products connected to it, such as an Android UHD STB DVR.

Network connection is by ethernet.

The only thing I haven't tried, is perming ports 5228, 5229, and 5230 and not relying UPnP which I assume the TV is using to open up the router ports?

Ideas please.

Hey there, did you check this one? Can you use only specific commands?

All commands are accepted by Google Assistant either by voice or app.

The problem is that the TV does not mostly respond to to the switch on or off command. The TV has been reset to factory default and setup again.

Hi extremelyfedup, try the below workarounds when it doesn't respond. Let me know if there's a difference.

Hold the green standby button on the remote for at least 5 seconds
Remove the power cable from the wall socket for 30 seconds and reconnect
