NVIDIA SHIELD is it a MUST?

I want to buy the new Sony x95H which supports atmos and vision but my only question is, I just need to know whether I need Nvidia Shield or not to play dolby atmos test files from a usb or external hard drive connected directly to my TV using PLEX!

Actually I got different answers! But I need a precise positive one
