Is it possible to secure the built-in Chromecast server of Bravia AF9 to prevent unauthorized access by others on the same network? I didn't yet find any solution for it.

Hi there,

You can adjust some security settings on your TV, see here. And also learn more about setting up your home router and Wi-Fi network securely at Chromecast Help.

Best wishes,

Ed

As it turns out there is no option to secure the built-in Chromecast server. Anyone connected to the same network can broadcast to the TV. This is a limitation of the Google Chromecast protocol, not the Sony firmware.
