HDMI ARC Failing

Can anyone help please

I have just bought a KD65 A8f and a 1080 receiver 3 weeks ago. Im getting ARC issues. When I stream videos the sound breaks up and then no sound at all. I have to do a factory reset and then the handshake is OK for a while ..then the hanshake is lost again. Its driving me nuts. I want to enjoy atmos and its so intermittent. Any help would be greatfully appreciated. This system has not been cheap and I dont want to regret the purchase.

Have you tried using a different cable? Also, can you make sure that the software of the amp is up to date as explained here: https://bit.ly/2USgYSB? Let us know if this made any difference.

No Not really. I along with the 1080 I bought a Sony A8 65" OLED Ultra HD 4K HDR. Im just wondering if the settings on the TV and receiver are trying to compete with each other. Should I have to TV set to Ultra picture quality and receiver = upscale to 4 k or the TV to "standard" and the receiver to 4k upscale or vice versa????.I am decoding atmos this is where the ARC cuts out (I have focal sib evo atmos speakers). What sounds setting should I use. Any help please. My hdmi cable is 2.00 Any help here would be appreciated. BTW i live in NZ
